A balloon flight during the Balloon Fiesta Košice 2026 (27 – 31 May 2026) is an unforgettable experience! A special atmosphere, dozens of balloons in the sky and a unique opportunity to see the city from above.

A sightseeing balloon flight over Košice is worth it. The largest monument reservation in Slovakia, the historical centre, the dominant feature of Košice St. Elizabeth Cathedral , side streets, new parts of the city or the beautiful countryside around in all directions. You have the chance to see all this in a completely different way, whether you are a local or a tourist.

Imagine yourself soaring high above the rooftops and enjoying the peace and quiet.

A balloon flight is the perfect occasion for a romantic trip, a celebration or an unusual gift. Discover the beauty of Košice from a whole new perspective and experience an adventure you will never forget.

The specific date of the fiesta flight will be arranged by phone after the purchase of the ticket. The sooner you call, the more options you have available. Feel free to choose an early morning flight. With sunrise there is a greater likelihood of flying than in the evening.

The temperature in the balloon basket in the air is not much lower than on the ground. We recommend sports clothing according to the current season and especially sturdy shoes. High heels are preferable to celebrate the experience after a balloon flight.

You will meet the balloon team at the agreed time at the agreed place. The balloon needs to be prepared for flight – directly at the meeting point or sometimes a transfer to another launching area is necessary.

The balloon flight lasts approximately one hour, during the fiesta a shorter flight is allowed due to the joint launch of the balloons. However, allow at least three hours for the whole experience. After packing up the balloon and “baptizing” the first years, we will bring you back to the meeting point.

Hot air ballooning is strictly weather dependent. The balloon flies in the direction and speed of the wind. The pilot has sole responsibility and makes decisions on the safety of the flight based on expert information. If the weather is not suitable for the flight, a new flight date will be arranged.
